There’s a lot of noise out there directed right at you mom -to-be. How to get ready for baby, how to be a good mom, how to have the perfect birth, what to put on your registry and more. So much noise that you want to just tune it all out and figure it out on your own. But even that’s overwhelming. Where do you even start?
Let me help you cut through that noise and guide you to the solutions and strategies you’ve been looking for.
The Prima Mama is my signature postpartum care package ready to be customized to your needs.
The Prima Mama is all about you and supporting you during one of the most vulnerable and transformative times of your life.
The Prima Mama postpartum program is 8 weeks of guided support starting during pregnancy to get your ready for life after birth and to be there to help you with hands on support and education.
The Prima Mama combines all of the elements that helped me find the postpartum bliss:
Start Working Prenatally (or earlier!)
Postpartum Vision Boarding
Postpartum Planning
Doing Prep Work
Intentionally Being Postpartum
and so much more!
I don’t want this to be you.
Hi, I’m Alisa, and I was just like those mothers myself. Blindsided and overwhelmed by postpartum and all of its challenges.
But I used what I learned from working with new mothers and from my own experiences to put together a system that would set me up for happiness and peace after birth.
When I had my second baby, I put that system into action and thrived my way through postpartum feeling energized and transformed on my journey.
I want that same experience for you. With a lot less of the hard stuff.
You and your baby deserve the best.
We can start working together as early as you want. From 0 to 40+ weeks pregnant and up to 6 months postpartum but ideally the best time to get started is 0- 36 weeks pregnant to get the most out of the planning and prep work.
Includes 2 prenatal visits and 2 postpartum visits each week for 6 weeks after birth. Plus I’m available by phone/text/Voxer for support through your first year postpartum
Hands on postpartum planning plus you’ll get my Postpartum Master Planning Workbook to guide you
We will meet for at least 2 prenatal visits where I will learn about your space and help you get it ready to bring baby home.
This is where it really gets good. I will come to your home for postpartum visits twice a week for 6 weeks after your baby is born. Each postpartum visit will last 3 to 4 hours. And each week has a guiding theme.
You will recieve my customized Prima Postparutm Journal that I only give as a special gift to my postpartum clients. The Prima Postpartum Journal is an 8 week guided journal that includes education, motivation, inspiration and affirmations to guide you on each week of your postpartum recovery, plus daily journaling pages.
Text me, email me or send a voice message on Voxer anytime you have questions or need an ear. From the day you sign your contract through your baby’s first birthday.
Step 1: Your Vision Board, Values & Goals
Our first week is spent getting to know more about you and your desires as a new mother and new parents. We’ll go through my Postpartum Vision Boarding process to make a visual remind of your dreams, pinpoint some guiding values and set some achievable goals. You can speed up the process by downloading my free postpartum vision board kit.
Step 2: Planning For Postpartum
Next, we will schedule your first prenatal visit, where I will visit your home and get more familiar with your space and setup. During this visit we will also go over your postpartum plan together and fill in any gaps or weak spots. I will put together a Prenatal Prep list of recommended action tasks that will get your mind, body and home ready to bring baby home.
Step 3: Getting The Mind, Body & Home Ready For Baby
At our 2nd prenatal visit, I will follow up with you on your progress on the Prenatal Prep List and help out with any tasks that you need hands on support with in your home. I can also help to organize and educate your support squad or help out with your events like your baby shower, gender reveal or mother blessing. I will stay in constant contact throughout your pregnancy to answer any questions or just listen. Once baby is born, we get to schedule our first postpartum visit!
Step 4: Lean Into Your Postpartum Recovery
Now that baby is here, it’s time to lock in that first postpartum visit. This can be as soon as baby is born at your birthing place or at your home once you’ve settled in. But I’m more than happy to help you get settled in too. At the end of this visit we will schedule out our 6 weeks tentatively, but I always stay flexible in case you want to make a change. We’ll decide on two weekdays and a specific time, like 9am – 12pm, for me to come to your home each week for 6 consecutive weeks.
For those 6 weeks, I will come to your home twice a week and use the Prima Postpartum Journal to guide your transformation.

9:00 am
I arrive at your home at 9 am ready to go. I take my shoes off and put my doula slippers on and wash my hands. I find you in the nursery cuddling with baby and say good morning. I do a quick check in asking how the morning has been so far and ask if I can make you some tea. You say that tea sounds lovely and I grab your empty water bottle as I head to the kitchen. In the kitchen, I start your tea, refill your water bottle and soak some bottles and pump parts I notice next to the sink.
Now, your tea is ready and it’s time to check in. Baby is nursing and your tea is cooling. I ask about last night. How did you sleep? How was baby’s sleep? And feedings? We chat about the ups and downs of last night and what you would like to get done today.
I make note of your top 3 things to do on my Doula Notes sheet:
1. Eat breakfast
2. Organize your birth and baby paperwork and make some important calls
3. Wash and sterilize pump parts.
We discuss the things that have been on your mind lately and I take a moment to read a passage from Prima Postpartum Journal that I think will help you.
9:30 am
Baby is done nursing and has fallen asleep. While she’s napping, I start making breakfast you – avocado toast, scrambled eggs and fresh fruit. And you go to take a shower and get dressed.
9:50 am
Breakfast is ready and I hear baby stirring in her crib. She’s wide awake, so I pick her up and change her diaper and spend some face time with her. You finish getting dressed and sit down to eat your breakfast.
10:10 am
Baby is content you sneak off to the office to organize your paperwork and make those calls. I place baby in my Lillebaby soft structured baby carrier and clean up the breakfast dishes and load the dishwasher. I wash the pump parts and bottles and get them in the sterilizer. I wipe down all of the kitchen counters and do a quick sweep to get the crumbs up.
10:40 am
I notices that baby has dozed off for a 2nd nap. I lay her in her crib because you have asked me to do so and grab the monitor and laundry basket on my way out.
I start a load of baby laundry and then go to put away the pump parts and bottles that are sterilized and ready to use.
11:00 am
You’ve finished working in your home office space and join me in the living room. We talk about your physical healing and upcoming appointments. Now, its time for postpartum belly wrapping. I pull out your kit which includes a cotton postpartum wrap, a protective cloth and warming belly oil. I go through the process of my Postpartum Belly Wrapping routine and finish with your abdomen supported and wrapped up snug but not too tight. I make you another cup of tea and you relax with a book.
Help with baby care like bath time
Time to ask questions and talk about feeding baby
Accompanying you and baby to an appointment
Run errands for you like grocery shopping or a Target run
Help assemble baby gear ( I always read the directions!)
It all depends on your desires and preferences.
“Alisa was very warm and professional. She was available during a crucial time when I really needed an extra hand. There was no way I would’ve been able to get through the night or day without her.”
“Having a baby is sooo much tougher than I expected. I was so tired, stressed, exhausted. Alisa helped me to find the right balance, giving some interesting information without pushing an agenda. I did end up stopping breastfeeding after 5 months but I am sure I would have quit earlier had it not been for Alisa. At the same time I didn’t feel judged.”
“Alisa was awesome. Easy-going, knowledgeable and judgement free. She helped me get a good start to pumping especially at night and taught me all about feeding formula when we decided to supplement. Alisa also helped me to find balance between spending time with my husband, caring for our baby and running my business.
