The Big Latch On Maryland

Good Morning Mama!

Today in celebration of World Breastfeeding Week, I volunteered my time at the Big Latch On Maryland. The event was very inspirational to be apart of. Not only has this even grown from just 17 moms in its first year to over 150 moms in its 3rd, but it is bringing together women and families across cultural lines over a unifying event that has so many names but occurs in EVERY culture – breastfeeding.

In addition to seeing all of the beautiful mamas and babies nursing, I felt so lucky to see SOOOO many little ones being worn – from infant to taoddler. Over 70% of the babies arrived wrapped on a parents chest or back.

Did you participate in a Big Latch On event today? What do you have planned for the rest of the week?

Talk to you later, mama!
